** Opening ceremonies Championship Sunday, final gold races for 2009 **Unbelievable weather 85'f and light winds, never seen a more perfect day!

Reno 2009 was a huge success with no accidents. We experienced some of the best weather we've seen for the races. Lot's of sun, 80' & 90' days with light winds, just beautiful. Danny Davidson road his Harley down from Oregon and joined Diana & I for the weekend. Saw many other friends from Alaska who also made the pilgrimage south. Reno being the only air race in the world has grown. With a new class Supper Sport (Experimental kit aircraft turbo charged and running over 400mph).  Reno has also added an additional day with qualifying starting on Wednesday.

Five days of non stop action as always. The  Blue Angels, Alaska, and Nevada National Guard plus many aerobatic and aircraft performances filled the time between qualifying and elimination heat races which lead up to the final Silver and Gold races on Sunday.

We were there to see and experience it all. Enjoy the photo gallery.
